The third piece of advice is to offer something of immediate value. Because text messaging is an instantaneous medium, you should include real-time offers. The message should describe the benefits of acting now.

Fourth, it’s essential that you clearly identify your business or brand. Messages from an unknown number with an unknown product and company have a high risk of instantly being deleted. You should also make sure that your business or brand is always clearly identified for all marketing purposes.

Last but not least, make consumers feel special. The text message should make recipients feel they’re special and have qualified for an exclusive promotion. If the text messages are constantly filling their inboxes with offers and news they could get online, they will probably opt out of receiving any future texts from you.

To develop stronger relationships with their target audience and track increased ROI, marketers need to optimize the email-marketing program and take advantage of new technologies. Proven techniques and the best practices for these marketers include an increased focus on mobile platforms, relevancy of emails, email automation, and maximized communication through multiple channels.
